2019 Fall Release Fête
~ there is karma ~ and then there is carma ~
Welcome to Fall! We hope this finds you and yours managing through this rather rocky change of season.
After much deliberation, we’ve decided to shake things up and head south across the Golden Gate to introduce our new 2019 Fall Release wines in San Francisco!
Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture at the Firehouse / October 27th from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We hope that you are able to join us at the beautiful Firehouse, yes the Firehouse, overlooking the San Francisco Bay at the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. After escaping the 2017 wildfire and two fires on our road this year, we simply couldn't resist the irony this beautiful venue represents.
We are convinced there is good karma in the Petrichor vineyard resulting from the magic energy infused from Lee and his crew, Steve our viticulturist, Kevin and our winemaking husband and wife team, Megan and Ryan.
And then there is Petrichor Carma, our newest wine that celebrates the survival of these magnificent vines and the resilience of our community. We feel imbued with good karma, or Carma; however you want to look at it, we are eternally grateful!
Fermented by carbonic maceration, the new 2018 Carma is a lively expression of Grenache with a zesty-ness that is hard to resist. The label art features the Petrichor Water Goddess with her ukulele and we absolutely adore her. Created by Michael Rios, the tremendously talented San Francisco Artist Emeritus, we are thrilled to be sharing it with you.
Michael is one of the original muralists in the Mission District in San Francisco and has created many an album cover for his friend, Carlos Santana. He is also one of the warmest, and most gracious person we've ever met. The label is an ode, so to speak, to our wonderful community that has shown remarkable strength over the last two years. Megan & Ryan couldn't have crafted the wine any better, it's unreservedly quaffable. With only 38 cases made, it will go quickly. Be sure to secure yours now if you're interested.
We'll also be pouring our gorgeous new releases, the 2017 Grenache and the 2017 Syrah. Alongside selections from the Petrichor library we aim to fully engage your senses. An array of cheese, charcuterie and other bites will be served making for a beautiful celebration by the Bay.
Feel free to invite wine loving family and friends who may be in the area, we'd love to meet them!
